Pro-Life Rosary Crusade for New Zealand – Saturday 8th December 2018 at 3.00pm

On the Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday 8th December at 3.00pm all around New Zealand, people in parishes, groups and families will take part in the “Pro-Life Rosary Crusade for New Zealand”.

Our Parish of St Bernadette’s of Mt Wellington will be taking part of “Pro-Life Rosary Crusade for New Zealand”.

We invite everyone to gather together in the Church of St Bernadette to pray the Holy Rosary.

Under the mantle of Our Lady of Assumption, Patron Saint of New Zealand

What motivated lay Catholics to begin Pro-Life Rosary Crusade for New Zealand?

In December 2017, David Seymour’s End of Life Choices Bill had its first reading. In February, the Labour government stated it wanted to update the abortion laws. These two events were the catalyst that motivated a group of lay Catholics to begin planning a Pro-Life Rosary Crusade for New Zealand.
We are very blessed to have Bishop Patrick Dunn as a Patron, and four other bishops, including Bishop Cullinane, have offered us their prayerful support as well.

Our Lord told St. Faustina the spark would start in Poland and it did. Last year, a million Poles gathered on the borders of their country to pray the Rosary. Since then, this movement of the Holy Spirit has touched Ireland, the UK and Australia.
